How to Notify Your Professors of Academic Accommodations
To inform your professors or course instructors about your academic accommodations, you’ll need to request a digital DSS Letter to Professors. Once your request has been received, our office will email you a digital copy of your letter within 48 hours.
You are responsible for sharing this letter with your professors, either by email or in person during their office hours.
As your professors and course instructors change throughout your academic career, you will need to complete this process each new semester you wish to utilize your accommodations for.
Note: If you are a student in GW Law or the School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS), you do not need to complete this step. Your Accessibility Associate will notify your program liaison directly.
